As a young child, I found solace in three things.

First, I discovered writing about emotional aspects was therapeutic.

Second, I learned when I did not feel safe, praying provided relief.

Third, I realized helping others delivered joy and allowed me to remove the focal point of my “own” realm.

Continuing these three attributes while transitioning through preteen and teenage years was feasible, but consistency was challenging.

However, I continued to put pen to paper, pray over difficult facets, and started helping others through work when I was eleven.

As I shifted into adulthood, I continued to script and pray, but not as harmonious as I desired, nor as much as I conquered helping others along my career expedition.

Indeed, while obtaining my degree in Management & Communication, the writing component reignited my desire to write and although my career path was great for business acumen, it was not conducive to creative writing.

I remained steadfast on this journey, delighted by multiple career successes, but disappointed I could not incorporate more praying or writing into this overall scheme.

Advancing along my trek, my world changed in an instant when my one and only child, Joshua, born 12/31/12, received a rare disease diagnosis of WAGR Syndrome.

My previous life of extended workdays, managing all aspects, and keeping everything organized perfectly was nearly impossible as I navigated being a new mother, learning about my sons ultra-rare diagnosis, spending countless hours in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and therapies, researching answers to give doctors, since his diagnosis is far from ordinary, administering numerous medications, and applying medical devices.

However, the biggest heartbreak was watching my baby boy endure so much; therefore, I prayed for my son to be healthy and for strength to get through each day.

I spent challenging and immeasurable hours and times of the day working from hospitals and home during recoveries to make corporate shine and achieve their goals, but after 9 years, the company restructured and eliminated mine and hundreds of jobs.

Moving on, although I rapidly landed a new job, I was always concerned about disclosing Joshua's unique attributes and prayed no serious medical challenges would ensue; however, mercifully, I made it over a year and managed doctors’ appointments with my vacation days, but the pandemic hit the business hard, and I endured another lay off.

At first, I was devastated, but as I prayed for direction to enable me to support my son, when necessary, allow me to utilize my gift of writing, and permit me to promote businesses to be successful, I felt relief and comprehended it was an immense blessing!

Fast forward to today, praying led me to refine my writing abilities and certify new skills, so I can have the flexibility to support my one in a million, medically brave son, while engaging my passion and executing my purpose of writing and fostering businesses to be outrageously successful.

Now my faith is bigger than my fear and I am renewed, energized, and enthusiastic to move mountains in your business!
